Scott Furtak is the Western U.S. Regional Technical Representative and Consultative Salesperson for Sustainable Turf Science, Inc., with more than 40 years of experience in the golf and sports turf industry. He began his career as a greenskeeper in 1985 and worked his way up to becoming a golf course superintendent before transitioning into the sales and irrigation side of the business.
Scott later discovered a strong passion for the agronomic side of turf management and became an independent contractor for a Floratine Product Group distributor. After eight years, he joined Ewing Irrigation as part of its inaugural turf products team, where he spent 11 years before joining STS Turf more than eight years ago.
Today, Scott consults with golf courses and sports facilities throughout the Western and Southwestern United States, while also providing distributor support. He resides in California’s Central Valley with his wife of 44 years, Shelley.
